Amazing Mae Wang


Amazing Mae Wang' 3rd 

          Amazing Mae Wang' 3rd was happened on 11 - 14 February, 2010.  We had many local organizations and government sector inside Mae Wang district joined the parade in the evening on the first day of festival at the area in front of Mae Wang municipality's office.


 

 

          The parade started from Bankad's market forward to Mae Wang municipality's office.  It is very long of parade with about  1,000 people that I had never seen before in the present local parade.


They had many shops and exhibition from other organizations.


          Most of products are food, toy, agricultural production, flower, plant and furnishings come from Mae Wang's OTOP.




          They had many contests such as singing and dancer contest, milk cow contest, fighting cock contest, orchid contest, agricultural product contest and the best farmers contest.


They had many exhibitions of the organizations and enterprise community.




Showing on the stage and playing entertainment at night.


Exhibition of orchids and plants in front of festival area included with orchid contest.




          My friend is staffs of Mae Wang dairy Cooperative.  Her duty need to stand by there all the time during the festival.  But it seem that she's enjoyed so much in this festival especially on the day that she is wearing the cow girl uniform.

Phad Kalam Dok


Phad Kalam Dok
(Stir Fried Cauliflower with Pork)



INGREDIENTS:

              200      grams           Pork
              400      grams           Cauliflower 
              1           tsp                  Knor Powder
              3           tbsp                Oyster Sauce
              1           tsp                  Thin Soy Sauce
              2           tsp                  Sugar
              2           tbsp                Garlic
              2           tbsp                Oil
              2-3        pecs               Tomato
              1/4        cup                Water


PREPARATION:



Chop the garlic, sliced tomato and pork.


Cut the cauliflower and clean by water.


Put the oil into the pan; bring to the stove with low heat.  Wait for a while, then put the garlic with pork together and stir fried in a pan.


Stir fried until the pork cooked, and then put the cauliflower into a pan, water, sugar, knor powder, oyster sauce and thin soy sauce into a pan with middle heat.


When the cauliflower cooked put the slice of tomatoes into the pan and stir fried for a while.( just 2 minutes)



Turn off the stove and served with steam rice. (The taste is a bit sweet)

Local Sport

           Local Sport of Chiang Mai Kindergarten Private School at Mae Wang was happen on last Saturday ( January 23, 2010).  We had 15 schools jointed, The " Rom Chat Kindergarten School" that my niece studying be the host for this year.




           She was assigned to be the pretty girls with her friends to hold the signs giving information of local sport.  I need to wake up early in the morning and took her to beauty salon near my house around 6 am.



All of school preparing for the parade.



The parade distance is only 600 meters with the leader by musical instruments.



The small students were waiting for the parade inside the tents.




The weather today is very hot during open competition ceremony.



All of the foods for lunch.



Surrounded with many shop.



The students were enjoying with the local sports.  My niece also is the one of competitors who won the silver coin.



           Then we back home around 12:30 pm after competition finished. Next year my niece will go to primary school, so she can not to join any more for Kindergarten local sport. But I hope she will have more activities with her new school.  Hope to see you again!!!

Chin Hoom

Chin Hoom
(Tenderloin in Herbal Curry Paste)




INGREDIENTS:

                500          gram           Tenderloin
                10             tbsp             Dried Chili
                3               tbsp             Shallot
                1               tsp               Salt
                1               tbsp             Garlic
                2               tsp               Soup Powder ( Knor Brand)
                2               tbsp             Parsley Root
                2               tbsp             Lemongrass
                2               tbsp             Sugar
                1               tbsp             Fish Sauce
                3               tbsp             Oil
                3/4           Cup             Water


PREPARATION:





1.  Clean the Tenderloin, cut into samll pieces



2.  Prepare salt and slice shallot, dried chili, lemongrass, garlic and parsley root, then pound them all.



3.  Put the herbal curry paste, sugar, soup powder and fish sauce mixed together with tenderloin.



4. Leave it for 1 hour in the bowl.



5.  Put the oil to a pan with Tenderloin in herbal curry paste, Stir-fries for a while (in about 2 minutes) in low heat.  Fill with 3/4 cup of water inside a pan.



6.  Boiled down into a little water, the taste should be a bit salty and spicy. After that turn off the stove.



7.  Served with Steam Rice.

Children's Day 2010

          The day that all children in Thailand are waiting for is " The Children's Day" that happens every year on the second Saturday of January.  This made the local organizations and government to put on show and events for the children.  Many places like as zoos allow them to go in for free on this day.  The Children's Day this year is on 9th January 2010.

          Every year, The Prime Minister gives the motto to advice them, here is the motto for this year " Think create, diligent to learn and praise of virtue".





           I took my niece to join the celebrating Children's Day at Mae Wang municipality's office that you can see from the above picture.  A lot of children and parents came to join this celebration included many shops around the area.



          Many free activities inside with the snacks and toys for the prize.  It's very long queue in every sections.



          My niece joins the activities but not much because of shyness and some activities that she thought she can't do it.



            Today is very strong of sunshine with a lot of queue, but many children still  enjoying with the games and shows... Uhm! maybe except us.



           Then we decided back to home before noon and played the water gun to made we fresh and recover from the sun burn.  Let see you again "The Children's Day" of 2011.
